Klaus Baudelaire is one of the central characters in the popular children's book series, A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket.
Klaus is the middle child of the Baudelaire orphans: He has an older sibling named Violet and a baby sister named Sunny.
From this point onwards, a villain known as Count Olaf tries to steal the enormous Baudelaire fortune from the Baudelaire orphans using various nefarious schemes.

The Baudelaires are sent to live with their Aunt Josephine in a terrible town with such places as 'The Anxious Clown' and an eerie lake where Aunt Josephine's husband was killed many years ago called 'Lake Lachrymose'.
In this book the sad Baudelaire orphans are sent to live with a couple -Jerome and Esme Squalor- in a penthouse on 667 Dark Avenue, close to where the Baudelaire mansion once stood.
The orphans stay on the half built half up the hospital for some time until they encounter yet again, the face of their enemy Count Olaf, who is disguising himself as a doctor who will operate unnecessary surgery on one of the orphans!
