While he did lead a small group of French ships from the battle pretty much unscathed, do so he ignored orders to keep the flag in his line of sight (and indeed, did not even signal his own squad to tell them of his flight).

The present Duke of Bauffremont’s father was a Grandee of Spain, not a Grand of Spain – surely the editors of this publication would know how to translate “Grand d’Espagne”!
