Bay Area Thrashers Kaos have been getting some great reactions lately and have gained some excellent reviews amongst the press, so the arrival of their new full-length "Kaos Among Us" was the ideal time to delve into why?
In fact, I haven’t stopped listening to thrash metal music or like it, but the last few years there is a plague upon it called "lack of qualitative groups and compositions".
The final band of the night was the veteran thrash act Kaos who actually turned in one of the biggest surprises of the night as they have moved their sound into a slightly modified, much more aggressive direction.

Bay Area thrash metal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bay Area thrash metal, or "Bay Area Thrash", referred to a steady following of heavy metal bands in the 1980s who formed and gained international status in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
Although Metallica had initially formed in Los Angeles, it wasn't until their relocation to the East Bay area that Cliff Burton and Kirk Hammett joined as bassist and lead guitarist, sealing the band's first, formulative line-up.
Oakland thrash metal band Vio-lence, for instance, would desolve, leading guitarist Robb Flynn to form and front Machine Head, which would popularize the groove metal genre (sometimes referred to as "half thrash", or "post thrash") along with Pantera.

Perkara death metal biasanya melibatkan tema yang lebih nihilistik berbanding genre yang lain dan menggunakan metafora yang mengerikan atau "jahat" untuk menggambarkan konsep yang lebih besar.
Death metal is clearly an outgrowth of heavy metal, but the full story is complex and interesting, and is the subject of some debate among fans and musicians.
To their credit, early "death metal" bands such as Death did push the format forward, something that would ultimately pay off in a new form of music that was substantially different from their closest forefather, thrash metal.

 Speed metal - Psychology Central
Speed metal is a genre of heavy metal music that is similar to thrash metal, but tends to be more melodic and show less influence of punk music.
The first Speed metal song is probably Deep Purple's Highway Star, from the 1972 LP Machine Head, though earlier efforts with a similar mindset include Black Sabbath's Paranoid (from the album of that name, 1970) and also Deep Purple's Speed King (from the 1970 In Rock LP) and Fireball (From the 1970 Fireball LP).
However, it was Highway Star that introduced into heavy metal both the extreme speed of the single-note riffing and also the complex guitar and keyboard solos (performed by Ritchie Blackmore and Jon Lord, respectively), borrowed from progressive rock of the 70s, but heavily influenced by classical music.

There may have been four or five bands doing this form of metal when Death Angel started, but by the time they had finished their impressive run, they had spawned a whole generation of explorers bent on refining the maps drawn up by these initial pioneers.

For everyone who might lack information about this act, they were formed back in 1999 in Helsinki of Finland and unlike the vast majority of their fellow-villager, they perform Bay Area thrash metal.
What is more, they do not aim to become a clone of this field, but manage to compose quite decent and respectable thrash metal songs.
To summarize "Maximize the Misery" is a piece which deserves the attention of a thrash metal fan, and will probably gain the fans of so called thrash metal bands such as SOILWORK, WITCHERY, CHILDREN OF BODOM.

Groove metal, half-thrash, or post-thrash is a subgenre of thrash metal which took its current form during the early 1990s.
Unlike thrash metal and many of the other heavy metal subgenres, groove metal is not as riff-oriented.
It should also be noted groove metal is not considered to be thrash despite the fact that it originated from it.

With quite a bit of punk mixed into the show and the appearance of the "new generation" of Bay Area metal in Machine Head and Skinlab, the average age of the on hand crowd was much lower than a normal Death Angel crowd, who initially broke up back in the early 1990's.
Quite surprising, really, was the small crowd that stuck until the end to see one of the Bay Area's most well known acts perform, but considering the length of the show and the entire amount of activity going on throughout the day, exhaustion certainly played a role in the thinning numbers of people.
Skinlab was the first of three Bay Area metal acts to hit the stage and, quite fittingly, were easily the crowd winners for the night eliciting a sizable mosh pit and drawing the most attention to the front of the stage.

Additionally, Germany was feeding the general enthusiasm with what was one of the most important thrash metal scenes apart from the one in the San Francisco Bay Area, placing acts such as Destruction, Kreator, Tankard, and Sodom in the movement and injecting it with what at one time was labeled Teutonic thrash.
Even then, however, thrash metal was still far from achieving the success it deserved and strived for.
