Provinces of Mongolia Mongolia (Khalkha Mongolian: Монгол Улс) is a landlocked nation in central Asia, bordered by Russia to the north and the People's Republic of China to the south.
It was the center of the Mongol Empire of the 13th century, but was ruled by the Chinese Qing dynasty from the end of the 17th century until an independent government was again formed with Soviet assistance in 1921.

in 1976,Bayanhongor province was awarded for its animal husbandry,cattle -raizing,number of livestock,and their products by the 18 th decree of the congress of Mongolia.This award was the 'Achievement of labor' decoration.In 1981,Bayanhongor province was awarded the 'Gold Thread'decoration for its cattle -raizing and number of livestock by the 217th decreeof the Congress of Mongolia.
Bayanhongor has 150 different kinds of birds, including the eagle, the hammer- geyer, the snow -cock, the wild horse harrier, the vulture, ducks, swans, and the mandolin duck.

Traces of man of the remote past have been found in the Uran Hairhan Uul mountains in Bayanhongor aimag in the north-west of the country, 600 km from Ulaanbaatar, and in the Yarh mountains of Dundgov' aimag in southern Mongolia.
The distinctive features of this period were the appearance of the bow and arrow as weapons and the domestication of animals.
The stone implements of the Mongolian Mesolithic period are similar to a number of monuments of Mesolithic settlements in Yakutia and Kamchatka, and in America.

The disaster is causing a mass death of livestock (over 1.4 million by 6 March) in 13 aimag s (provinces) out of the total 21 aimag s, although 6 aimag s have sustained 89.6% of the losses to date.
The depth of snowfall ranged from 30 centimetres to one meter in the provinces along the western ridge of the Hangai mountain range.

As an example, traffic was diverted from the main road to a temporary road near to Garid canyon between Arvaiheer- Bayanhongor because the main road was badly damaged recently by heavy rain.
Because of the very poor condition of the existing state road between Arvaiheer and Bayanhongor, two options of road alignment were considered for improvement.
This section is close to the concrete bridge over Baidrag River between Bayanhongor and Altai, and is regularly damaged by heavy flooding because the road runs along a major water collecting depression.

By analysing the reports from each district and plotting them onto a map of the province, a distinct pattern emerged: in the mountanious northern part of the province, the IMR was dramatically high and increasing.
Working groups have been created in all provinces, work--shops are being held and plans for the development of a NHIS are made in each province.

Then in mid-September the provinces, or aimags, along the western ridge of the Hangai mountain range were surprised by early snowstorms, bringing as much as a metre of snow to parts of the aimag of Bayanhongor.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) reports that nearly 300,000 people in 12 aimags are affected by the food shortages in the immediate term, and by the loss of their livelihood in the longer term.
Their report, issued on 28 February, estimated that the aimag lost about 25% of its livestock in January and that this figure was likely to almost one million by June.

On 18 July, heavy rainfall and hail occurred in most of regions in Mongolia, causing flash floods in the capital Ulaanbaatar and several provinces.
The affected areas are Districts of Bayangol, Chingeltei, Sukhbaatar, Songinohairhan and Bayanzurh in Ulaanbaatar, Provincial centers of Bulgan, Gobi-Altai, Bayanhongor and Orhon-Uul, Soums of Tushig, Mogod, Tseel and Erdene in Bulgan Province, Tsogt-Ovoo soum in Umnugovi Province, and Halkhgol soum in Dornod Province.
