  News Release: Ontario investment in bridge improvements on highway 21 will benefit village of Bayfield
BAYFIELD - A project to upgrade the Bayfield River Bridge on Highway 21 was announced today by Transportation Minister Brad Clark.
Located at the Village of Bayfield, the project includes various repairs to the Bayfield River Bridge and reconstruction of the approaches to the bridge.
Additional work includes installation of a new retaining wall on the north bank of the river to prevent erosion, and construction of new fishery habitat along the retaining wall.

Phase II is funded to acquire 1,037 acres of wetlands and 1,433 acres of upland in fee title; acquire 250 acres of wetland and 435 acres of uplands through easements; restore 126 acres of wetlands; enhance 56 acres of wetlands; and set aside 2,500 acres through a conservation stewardship program on private lands.
This was mailed to Bayfield county shoreline property owners, and used as an insert to "Superior Vision," the newspaper of the Lake Superior Alliance.
This project completes the satellite imagery interpretation for the WI portion of the Nemadji River watershed, as was done for the MN portion.

There is a rock upstream from Tyndall`s bridge which is the first bridge out of Clinton that we look at before we run the river and if it`s showing, don`t bother going.
You can only run this river in the spring and only when you have lots of run off or a good rain.
