	Encouraging Coal Results On Bayfield's Navtgar Uul Property, South Gobi, Mongolia

	Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority
		The Ausable Bayfield Water Response Team (WRT) has issued its first low-water advisory for 2007, for all watercourses in the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) watershed.
		The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority Board of directors approved, in September of 2006, an implementation policy related to management around the shoreline.
		The ABCA encompasses the drainage basins of the Ausable River, Bayfield River, Parkhill Creek and the gullies between Bayfield and Grand Bend draining directly to Lake Huron.

	The Daily Press - Ashland, WI
		Ashland and Bayfield Counties will be among the members of an innovative nine-county consortium that aims at eliminating waiting lists for community care within the next five years.
		A $100,000 planning grant aimed at working out how to best meet the goal of expanding services to seniors and people with disabilities was announced Thursday in Ashland by Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services Secretary Helene Nelson.
		She said, as announced in Governor Jim Doyle's State of the State address earlier this week, a major goal behind the Family Care Program was to eliminate the state's 11,500-slot backlog for community care statewide.

	WDNR - Big Bay State Park
		Ferry boats (exit DNR for rates and schedules) operate on regular schedules between Bayfield and La Pointe from April to December.
		No launching facilities are available at the park, but boats can be launched at the public landing in Bayfield or at a privately operated landing on, Madeline Island.

		Shopping in Wisconsin Dells and Bayfield will become a little more expensive next week when those areas' premier resort area sales tax extends to nearly two dozen extra retail categories.
		Some tourism-related retail operations in those resort communities have been collecting a half-percent sales tax since 1998, thanks to state legislation passed a year before.
		Currently, only three municipalities in the state that qualify have passed local ordinances establishing a premier resort tax: the City of Wisconsin Dells, the Village of Lake Delton and the City of Bayfield.
