 Baylor Law School
The Princeton Review claims Baylor Law has the most competitive student body in the nation and that it is "the Marine Corps of law schools." US News ranks Baylor in its top tier of law schools and ranks Baylor #7 in advocacy programs nationwide.
In the fall of 2001, the law school relocated from Morrison Hall to the new Sheila and Walter Umphrey Law Center on the banks of the Brazos River.
He was published in the Baylor Law Review and served as the publication's Technology Editor, in addition to serving on the Student Bar Association as President of his third-year class.

Baylor Law School again made a “clean sweep” of the twice-yearly Texas Bar Exam in 2002, with its students achieving the highest passing percentage of the nine law schools in the state.
Hundreds of Baylor Law School alumni, friends of the law school, current and retired faculty and staff, and students attended the special Law Day 2002 festivities on April 6.
Baylor Law School is number 1 in a “Most Competitive Students” ranking released Sept. 20 by The Princeton Review.

Earlier that day, the school announces that three Baylor Law School professors will investigate the basketball program, after questions arose about improper payments made to Dennehy.
- June 23: The NCAA announces that Baylor will be forced to play a reduced schedule in men's basketball for one season, and the school choses the 2005-06 season for the penalty.
- Aug. 7: Baylor coach Dave Bliss and school president Robert Sloan are among about a dozen Baylor officials attending a memorial service for Dennehy at a church in San Jose, Calif.

Waco attorney Jim Dunnam, a three-term member of the Texas House of Representatives, has been named Baylor’s Young Lawyer of the Year.
A lifelong resident of McLennan County, Dunnam is a graduate of Richfield High School, Waco.
Dunnam, 37, and a partner at Dunnam and Dunnam law firm in Waco, said he was “very proud and honored” to receive the award.
