Tie the long end of your thread to the outside warp thread on the loom (which side depends on whether you are left- or right-handed), leaving at least an inch or two hanging at the end (you will tuck it through the first row of beads later).

In October, 1998, she studied silversmithing with Bill Cody, at the 1998 SFMS William Holland Workshop in Young Harris, GA. She has traveled widely studying off-loom bead weaving techniques to broaden her skills and stimulate creativity, the last trip being to participate in Beadventure in Ireland with Cynthia Rutledge as world-class teacher.
She is a charter member of the Bead Society of Southeastern Virginia organized in January, 1998, and a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers.
