This access was required as a condition of approval of a coastal development permit for the house built on a small point of land about halfway between Bean Hollow Beach and Bolsa Point back in 1985.

Bean Hollow State Beach played host to our adventures, and presented us with a fine spread.
I have spoken before of nudibranchs, of course, but let me restate: they are by far some of my favorite Californians.

The secret beach marked by that funny piece of driftwood, where you have to walk for about a mile over the dunes before you actually get to the water.
That beach south of the Pigeon Point Lighthouse where there is lots of poison oak on the cliff, but you can find beautiful shells.
