The Warrington Township Historic Commission is planning to publish a booklet containing an update on the history of the township.
Warrington Township was the last part of Central Bucks County to be organized; in September of 1734 a court ordered that the lands above the adjoining to Warminster Township shall be a township and be called Warrington.
It is still an integral part of the township with active farm functions including dairy cows, crops of corn and wheat as well as diversification to meet the needs of changing economy.

But many area residents say they're upset about the proposed development and are citing a variety of concerns, including the increase in traffic in an already congested stretch of U.S. 31 as well as fears about the impact that 347 new homes will have on area wetlands, residential wells and declining water tables.
Township resident Roy Whitley told the township board he was mailed notification about last month's meeting because of his property's proximity to the proposed development.

A ROD Amendment for Creek monitoring and excavation and offsite disposal of approximately 4,000 cubic yards of that soil was signed on February 26, 1998.
