	BearShare - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		BearShare is a popular Gnutella-based file sharing application created by Free Peers, Inc. It runs under Microsoft Windows and comes in several versions, including an advertising supported version, a paid "Pro" version with no advertisements, and a Lite (stripped down) free version.
		Alongside Morpheus_(computer_program) and LimeWire, Bearshare was seen as one of the forerunning Gnutella applications due to its wide implementation of Gnutella Developers Forum (GDF) proposals and stable networking.
		On May 4, 2006, Free Peers agreed to pay $30 million in a settlement with the RIAA and transfer all their Bearshare-related assets to iMesh.

		The only link to Bearshare is that Bearshare also makes these registry keys to be able to catch magnet links.

		I haven't read about Bearshare, so I can't comment on it, but it does the same thing as Limewire.
		bearshare lite is just as good as bearshare pro why the nutty munshkins do you have to argue bearshare pro has all the same music as lite but lite can use bearshare pro as a version to steel from.
		I havent used limewire but have used bearshare for about three years and have had the best of luck with it.
