Beaumanor Park lies in the small village of Woodhouse on the edge of the Charnwood Forest near the town of Loughborough in Leicestershire.
Beaumanor Park was the home of the War Office ‘Y’ Group from 1941 for the rest of the duration of the war until 1946.
In a sale conducted at the Town Hall in Loughborough on the 20th and 21st of December 1946, the War Department bought both Beaumanor Hall and Garat's Hay and some of the immediate grounds that were used during the war that surrounded them.

With the grace of the Almighty Formless Nirankar the second National Sevadal Camp of the year was held at Beaumanour Hall in Leicestershire on the 6th and 7th of July 2002.
A point to note was that the duties were discussed at the last camp and executed at this samagam illustrating that the sevadal is organisation of effective action and not only words.
Reports included Transport, Reception Duties, Stage, Decoration and Music, Inner Hall duties, Langar Distribution etc… This session was concluded with a feeling that the Sevadal had been successful in formulating change to the organisation of the samagams, which had been considerably improved.

From 1939 Beaumanor Hall itself was occupied by Number 6 Intelligence school and the rooms inside Beaumanor Hall were used as a training centre for the Staff that they recruited.
The out buildings and stables at the side and rear of the hall were used as workshops, these housed Aerial riggers, a Barracks store, M T Office, Transport Garage workshop and the Instrument Mechanics Laboratory.
The other huts were located in the wooded area to the rear of the hall on its western side, in order to carefully conceal them and were had wooden exteriors.

Those attending Quorn Royal British Legion's concerts at Beaumanor are accustomed to being well entertained but this year, to celebrate The Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen, the Branch excelled itself!
This was the eighth concert at Beaumanor and was attended by a record crowd of 2,300 people.
The weather could not have been better for an open air concert, and in the glorious evening sunlight, Beaumanor Hall provided a wonderful setting.

The Vintage Motor Cycle Club's local chairman Les Smith was appreciative of the relaxed and friendly atmosphere at the show, favourably comparing Stinkwheel Show with their own Founder's Day event, the greatest compliment yet received by organiser Mike Powell.

In October we took two groups of students to stay at Beaumanor Hall near Loughborough — in both cases for an overnight stay.
Beaumanor is an old Hall, with a very interesting history.
It was used in the Second World War as a base for cracking the Enigma Codes, and in order to disguise this, false buildings were built in the grounds so that German aircraft would think it was just another rural village.

William Herrick owner of Beaumanor Hall in Charnwood Forest, bought the bed.
Flood and fire damaged the hall so badly it had to be rebuilt.

It is a personal account of a young lady, who misled the authorities about her age, was selected to work as a Morse Intercept Operator against German Military wireless signals and who served her Country between 1942 to 1945.
