ALTRAP.NET - Album Review - Outthere - What Does He Think He Is Doing?   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-20)
An album from an artist who is energising, breathtakingly original and riveting to listen to.
Outthere's lyrics here are the same as on the rest of the album - passable but nothing remarkable - but it doesn't really matter, as all a track of this type requires is for its emcee to ride the uptempo beat, a task which Outthere completes with perfect precision.
The album closes with a huge climatic juggernaut of a posse cut which rumbles along mightily, bringing emcee after emcee after emcee, none of who are particularly outstanding.

Record albums are placed on a turntable platter that pins at a constant speed (CAV).
In general, albums and phonographs have been supplanted by CDs and other digital audio formats due to the digital formats' durability, ease of use, ability to store a variety of data, ability to store large amounts of data, error correction, compression abilities, and more.

This is the album preceding their closest stab at national attention with "Flood." They Might Be Giants' music blends a progression of deep thoughts with a synthesized sound to create a unique mix.

I confess that I am a late bloomer where the Indigo Girls are concerned...so Become You is the first album I've bought as a fan.
The album "Become You" does have some of the old fire, but the best four lyrics are found on the bonus disk in amy's solo "Laramie" ("tolerance it ain't acceptance").

Geoff Emerick (known from his work with The Beatles) produced most of the album; the rest of it was produced by Mal Evans who also produced some of Magic Christian Music.
The album is a perfect blend of ballads, rockers and a bit of country (Blodwyn), generally performed with more rocking feeling than their earlier recordings.
Though the album is obviously dominated by Pete Ham's songs all other members contribute to it.

The White Album is often cited as the beginning of the end for the Beatles.
In his review of the White Album in Rolling Stone, Jann Wenner asserted, "Nothing could have been more ambitious than the current release: The Beatles is the history and synthesis of Western music."(4) All hyperbole aside, the White Album was an ambitious release with some of the Beatles' finest moments.

Originally the album was released in 1999 on Sign Language Records as a limited-run with little retail distribution.

 * Dusted Reviews - Mudhoney *
The vaguely psychedelic part is most evident in the album’s opener “Baby, Can You Dig the Light”, a song whose content would have been generously served by a length a third of its actual eight and a half minutes.
Its less forgivable when a similar song is the introduction to an album by a veteran band — when they should be slamming lead pipes into your splintering shins, they’re muffling your head in cushiony synthetic foam instead.
The problem with Since We’ve Become Translucent is that it doesn’t measure up to the standards Mudhoney set with the undeniable gripping music they produced in their heyday.

D12 has become most famous for two things over the past few years: being Eminem's rap group and having a lot of beefs.
Their first single off the album is "My Band," a cut produced by Eminem which pokes fun at how people perceive D12.
Having Eminem, a rapper who has sold 50 million albums, in the group means the other five members (Proof, Bizzarre, Kon Artis, Swift, and Kuniva) won't get their fair share at the spotlight, but they expect that.

The album comes together as a somewhat extemporaneous and live vibe.
On a few occasions, Mudhoney even dares to take a few rare ventures outside of the three minute format, but in general the songs are still short and sweet.
Since We've Become Translucent is not for everyone, but like each preceding Mudhoney album, it will take you an a strange musical venture.

Become the Other ended up as one of the more experimental albums, with some more ambient experiments, as well as techno.

The other three quarters of the album are hard rock, with a lot of influences from other alternative genres such as hardcore, metal and punk.
The lyrical style of the album is very dark with most of the songs speaking about death in some way, even All that’s Left, the first single (and most radio friendly) can’t escape it.
Two pleasant surprises on the album are Silhouette and Paper Tigers, their names don’t stand out much compared to Cold Cash and Colder Hearts or The Abolition of Man. But they are some of the best songs on the album.
