  Beech Model 65 / 70 / 80 / 88 Queen Air - tourer, passenger   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
An improved Model A65 Queen Air, introduced at a later date, had swept vertical tail surfaces and greater fuel capacity; and a version with a high-density seating arrangement for a crew of one or two, with 10 or nine passengers respectively, was known as the Queen Airliner.
A pressurised version of the Model 80 was introduced in August 1965: generally similar to the Queen Air B80, it differed by having structural modification of the fuselage to cater for pressurisation, and by the incorporation of circular cabin windows.
Known as the Model 70 Queen Air, this was basically an A65 with the increased span wing of the B80.

 Beechcraft Kingair 65-90
In 1959, Beech Aircraft introduced the Model 65 Queen Air to fill the gap between the six-seat twin-Bonanza, a derivative of the single-engine Bonanza introduced in 1947, and the Super 18, a deluxe version of the classic Beech 18.
The Queen Air featured the low-wing, all-metal, tricycle design typical of Beech's post-war aircraft, carried seven to nine passengers, and featured two horizontally-opposed 340-hp Lycoming engines.
Nearly 40 years since its introduction, the King Air series is still the king of the turboprops and fills a significant niche in the business aviation marketplace.

Drop back 40 years, and the first King Air to fly was the model 90, essentially a pressurized, turboprop adaptation of the piston-powered Beechcraft 65 Queen Air.
Indeed, that first King Air was to spawn a whole family of turboprops, several versions of the model 90, the 99 airliner, the 100, 200, 300 and 350.
King Airs have never been the fastest airplanes in their class (that honor belongs to Piper’s long since discontinued Cheyenne 400), and the Beechcraft turboprops certainly have never enjoyed the lowest prices in their field.
