Beep the Meep is a fictional alien who appeared in the Doctor Who Weekly comic strip based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who.
Beep sought refuge with two schoolchildren, using his fuzzy appearance to masquerade as a hapless, harmless creature being hunted by the ruthless Wrarth.
Beep the Meep's weapon of choice was fl star radiation, which he used both as a power source for his spaceship and for brainwashing people by exposing them to it.

Beep tries to act cute in order to play on the Doctor’s sentimental side, but it’s no use; the Doctor knows him for the sadistic monster he is, and he knows that Lowell deliberately sabotaged his rivals’ studio to knock them off the air.
Beep admits that he’s infiltrated this station and altered its programming in order to play on the human race’s weakness for cute images and sentimentality, having learned much from the nauseating film in which the Doctor imprisoned him during their last encounter.
Beep then arrives, and while Robbie is somewhat thrown by this departure from his script he recovers nicely, assuming that this is a publicity stunt for the upcoming programme.

Although I never read the comic tale in which Beep the Meep is trapped in a film, I did long ago read the original story, The Star Beast.
Probably one of the funniest moments, is Beep's long threatening diatribe at the end of the story.

All the water in Eep (except for rain) comes from the Waterfall in the Sky, a spout of water that comes pouring down from the sky onto the hill and down the rivers of Fish Central, AKA Funky Town.
It rained down millions and millions of gallons of water, filling up the Sea of meep to its highest level, then flooding the rivers of Eep.Then it went to its normal flow.

The desert scenery in the first two Road Runner cartoons, Fast and Furry-ous (1949) and Beep Beep (mid 1952), was designed by Robert Gribbroek and was quite realistic.
BTW: It is 'beep,' not 'beep beep.' They just recorded it once and played it twice.

Half a century later I still think Meep the Beep is a terrible character.
The twisting of roles with Meep and the Wrarth was novel, the presentation of back street suburbia pretty good.

While at first it might sound like most of The Ratings War is spent with the Doctor and Beep the Meep deep in conversation with each as they talk about old times and Beep’s current plan for conquest, there is more to it that just that.
Toby Longworth is very good as Beep the Meep, capturing the essence of the character well with his cute facade hiding his more psychopathic tendencies, and the way that he varies between the two sides brings the character to life with suitable menace.
The combination of Longworth’s performance and the special effects used to alter his voice ensure that Beep the Meep’s audio appearance is very memorable.

The only problem was that it wasn’t an intro, there were a lot of beeps, and it didn’t lead to anything funny.
Actually, it is, "beep, beep" and the originator didn't even get paid for one of them because he was a peon from the WB mailroom.
The 'meep meep' sound of roadrunner was, if my own memories are correct, based on a WB worker who always made the sound when coming through a door with a box or whatever, like a horn, so you could get out of the way.
