		Beersheva is a town that is a few thousand years old and is perhaps best known for its association with Abraham in the Bible (Old Testament).
		The population of the Beersheva area is a mixture of Bedouin (about 30% of the population), Jews and a small minority of foreign workers'.
		The general unemployment figures for the Beersheva area are upward of 12%, in some areas as high as 30%, with unemployment amongst the Bedouin and new immigrant populations reaching 50-60%.
