General News George Band, youngest climber on the 1953 Everest Expedition will be talking about the 1st ascent of Everest in Belfast on Wed 5th Nov as part of the Queens Festival. The Court noted that a climber must be fully equipped with the necessary safety equipment, including harnesses, hammers and pins, ropes and rock shoes.
