A 26-year-old soldier from Bellevue has died in the war in Iraq.
Vandling was a member of Northgate's 1995 team that won the Ohio Valley Conference championship.
Vandling was a regular on the 1996 and '97 teams, Coach Hurley said.

Kanongata'a was suspended from Bellevue in March 2004 for gambling, and he enrolled at Robinswood High School, the Bellevue School District's alternative school.
