Benalla (36°33′S 145°58′E) is an agricultural town of about 12,000 people on the Hume Freeway in north-eastern Victoria, Australia, about 40 kilometres south of Wangaratta.
There is a park and walking track along the river at Benalla, featuring a ceramic sculpture community that was created as part of an employment project for local artists some years ago.
Benalla is also where champion cyclist Baden Cooke was born.

HISTORIC relics are being destroyed in a vandalism spree at the Benalla Cemetery.
The Benalla Cemetery Trust secretary-manager, Mr Rex Nankervis, said the problem was probably caused by children and they did not know the extent of the damage.
