Benbecula (Scottish Gaelic: Beinn na Faoghla, meaning "the mountain of the ford") is an island of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
Benbecula's main settlement is Balivanich in the northwest.
It is the main administrative centre for the Uists and has the council offices and the admin centre for the artillery deep sea firing range on South Uist.
