I always wanted to play the old comic adventure "Beneath a Steel Sky", since it was made by Revolution, the developers of Broken Sword, whose first two parts still rank among my absolute favourite adventures.
If this has happened, you only have to select your favourite game from a list as for example "Beneath a Steel Sky" and play it to the early morning to the top of your bent.
Beneath a Steel Sky already brings along all positive characteristics and stylistic elements, which then should be continued in the first two parts of Broken Sword and which have made the series legendary: An exciting, thought out story is told and the interesting puzzles are well integrated into the game.

Exciting news from Revolution Software, via C&VG.com, informs us that the Broken Sword developer is currently developing Beneath a Steel Sky 2 - a sequel to the classic point-and-click adventure hit.
"Beneath a Steel Sky is a game that is still widely respected and we are regularly asked when we will write the sequel," Cecil told C&VG.
"Beneath A Steel Sky 2 is a project Revolution has been considering for a while, and has stated to move forward on, but we are unable to comment beyond this." The 1994 original was very highly regarded, and helped cement Revolution's reputation among the top adventure game developers of the early 90s.

Out of the many old games on my shelf, Beneath a Steel Sky seemed a likely first "oldworld" encounter for a number of reasons.
I instead clicked on the only file in the Sky folder which was installed to the hard drive, and away it went, without the need to boot to DOS or open a DOS window.
The graphics were somewhat blocky, the music sounded like a series of (at times annoying) mobile phone ring tones, and some of the dialogue was rather corny, but all up I had a fair bit of fun with Robert Foster and his robot pal Joey.

BASS is freeware as "Binary executable and data", just like LOTT.
Revolution Games has given me the OK to distribute the full versions of Beneath a Steel Sky, with the original engine and installer, with a new license that doesn't include copyright information for, or instructions that tell you to use, ScummVM.
Both the CD and floppy version of Beneath a Steel Sky on my site contain all of the original files, including the original engine, so that they can be played with or without ScummVM.

BaSS is indeed a great game to play, and through scumm vm you can download BaSS, the Scumm VM emulator and it works fine on XP, there u go a free game, that works on XP!

There's no content on it as yet, but Charles Cecil, boss of Revolution has confirmed that there is a sequel being made.
The origional Beneath a Steel Sky is Freeware now as well, Although it's old I urge everyone to try it.
