They included Benelli's M1 and Montefeltro, plus Franchi's AL-48 and Alcione Light Field O/U. All were 20 gauge, for which I'm eternally grateful.
Benelli autos have an excellent reputation for bomb-proof functioning under heavy use, and based on what I saw over the course of nearly a week of marathon shooting with several Montefeltros and M1 Field Autos, that reputation is more than justified.
Benelli's Montefeltro and M1 have to be considered in the very top tier of "hard duty" choices for when you're spending big money to go far away to do a lot of shooting.

i would go with the benelli if you want to keep the gun for a long time because the nova is way more reliable and will withstand almost any weather conditions.the 870 isn't even close to that good of a gun.
Benelli by far I have 2 a max-4-hd and synthetic pretty guns i have an old rem.870 that needs to be dusted off it's a easy breaking shell jamming gun.
On the other hand maybe the Benelli is a excellent gun and everyone is trying to compare apples to apples of the same flavor....
