Aliens have not been able to remove a thought screen helmet secured with tape or string.
The aliens are possibly studying electrical storms and have re-designed their spacecraft to withstand them.

So the alien forefathers of the fifties paved the way for humanoids aliens, and though the movies were not even about aliens, people began adapting them from the screen to their own belief systems, pinning on them the tag of invader or, in the decade to follow, savior.
Consequently, the increase in film portrayals of aliens led to increases in sightings and abduction reports, all of which involved aliens which were as human as possible, for it was harder to attribute human characteristics to things utterly alien (as a life form developing in a completely different environment would undoubtedly be).
This was the birth of the "Alien Messiah" (Ruppersberg 34).

Benevolent aliens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sometimes science fiction stories have aliens hide their malevolence by seeming to be benevolent such as in the television series, V and the Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man." In such stories, such a revelation is usually a plot twist.
The portrayal of an alien race as benevolent or malevolent assumes a degree of alien cultural homogeneity that does not currently exist in humanity, but may be possible in the future or in other races as better communication allows for "better" homogenization of world/species culture.
For instance, if an alien race aids humanity by providing an otherwise incomprehensibly advanced technology capable of solving human social and physical problems, it may disrupt human development in such a way that humanity is ultimately disadvantaged by the seemingly benevolent act.

Alien abduction statistics show that eighty percent of reported alien abductees are women thus it is not surprising that most abductions appear to reflect feminine experiences and concerns.
Also most alien abductees claim that part of their experiences involve being exposed to machines intended to erase the events that take place in the spaceships from their memories, suggesting that the fact that they are able to remember their experiences at all speaks to the failure of even advanced technology (Bullard p.
The standard alien abduction narrative usually ends after the abductee is returned to their home where they are left to make sense of the unusual happenings that have befallen them, but for some the nightmare goes on long after the abduction itself has ended.

For the ones who have come forward, their narratives compose an extraordinary body of anecdotal evidence revealing a generally consistent account of alien life that is on the one hand science fiction-like, and on the other hand original and ingenuous.
Several dissimilar types of aliens appear to be involved in the abduction phenomenon.

The 'benevolent' aliens (Pleiadians) state the aliens from Betelgeuse and their Gizeh Intelligences counterparts (the outpost control group) - also known as the Kamagol II group (Meier), are all effective allies in a very evil strategy to 'take' the Earth for themselves.
The stated intention of the 'benevolent' aliens is only to observe, assist certain especially suited and compliant Earth people to become 'prophets' regarding the whole problem, support Earth independent free-will-based spiritual evolution, execute the 'evacuation' of Earth peoples in certain circumstances, and help to prevent planetary and possible subsequent interplanetary disaster.

This is when humanity will compare "notes" with these other benevolent entities (there is more than one group here) and see that they were not alone, not only in creation, but, not alone in appreciation of Creator and the divine hierarchies, which humanity will begin to explore in this time period.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Close Encounters is one of the few sci-fi films that position aliens as benevolent creatures (well, at least for Neary's sake we hope they are) who, despite their vastly superior technology, never once fire on human beings or threaten them in any way.
Generically, aliens comfortably occupy the position of 'threat' within a movie's narrative structure: they are 'other', they appear as a homogenous group that no one is going to defend against stereotyping, they remain hidden and don't really come out of the shadows until the climactic battle.

Timmel Duchamp is not the first feminist SF author to explore what might happen if benevolent aliens attempted to correct the excesses of humankind, but few of her predecessors have written a book so unflinchingly realistic about the chances of such an intervention succeeding.
She has ties to the system, shares the government's belief that the "aliens" are probably, in truth, human terrorists, and is often distracted from the ever-more-repressive measures ordered by Sedgewick against the U.S. population by a completely understandable desire to save her own neck.
Alanya to Alanya is an intriguing mixture of SF genres and styles: It has utopian and dystopian elements, a strong splash of the political thriller, a good mystery subplot in Kay's amnesia, a hint of the sense of discovery that imbues first-contact novels and plenty to say about the current state of the real world.
