Re: N.J. Mystery-Parents of Benjamin Pine?
Alas, I have no information regarding Benjamin's forebearers but am very interested also because I am a descendant of Benjamin Pine.
My line going back with me, Granville Whitelaw Pine, born 1941 to Granville Martin Pine (1915-1994), Rosswell Dean Pine (1885-1971), William Granville Pine (1848-1916), John Pine (1818-1907), William Pine (1780-1872), Samuel Pine(1753-1783), Benjamin Pine (1717-1775).
I would be interested in anything you might have that is pertinent to this line.

He concluded that the appointment by letters patent, together with the publication of that appointment in the newspapers of the colony, legally implied that Pine was Governor of Western Australia, even though he never arrived at the colony and was never sworn in.
