		HOUSTON -- An Andersen partner testified Thursday that David Duncan stretched accounting rules "to excess" and ignored advice from an in-house watchdog, The Associated Press reported.
		Chicago-based partner Ben Neuhausen testified at Andersen's obstruction of justice trial that Duncan, who had led the Enron audit team until Andersen fired him earlier this year, lobbied to the firm's "professional standards group" about some accounting maneuvers Enron was seeking to avoid posting a $300 million loss in the first quarter of 2001.
		Enron got wind of Bass' objections and in March asked Andersen to remove him from consulting on the company's books, a request Andersen granted.
