		Benthuizen has about 3.000 inhabitants and has a long history that goes back to the begining of the 12th century, it was then that the village was described for the first time.
		Benthuizen has several buildings that are officially designated monuments.

		At the end of that 50 years the top was in ruins and there were plans to demolish the Hare (as was done with many windmills at the time).
		Restaured in 1985 the mill stands in Benthuizen, next to Hazerswoude-Dorp where I live.
		And yes; this is a Dutch windmill (close to Leiden and Gouda).
