Beretta 92 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Beretta decided to use 5,000 semi finished slides intended for the French to build pistols for the US military contract and soon after the US Armed forces accepted these pistols, a few slides of Beretta 92Fs (less than 10 total) and some older Beretta 92SBs started to crack and fly off.
Beretta remedied the situation by changing the spring's design so that each leg is similar allowing it to be inverted in case one leg fails until a replacement can be fitted.
The Beretta 93R is similar in design and operation to the 92, but it has been modified quite to provide the option of firing in 3-round bursts.

Beretta M9 is directly submitted to the U.S. Army that chooses at random 30 M9 pistols among the last manufactured ones.

Beretta’s exclusive Bruniton non-reflective matte fl finish is a superior corrosion resistant coating.
The pistol’s grip is grooved to enhance control during firing, the beveled magazine well facilitates rapid reloading, front and rear slide serrations provide a sure grip for fast, easy racking of the slide, the skelotonized hammer reduces lock time and the rubber magazine pad protects the magazine if it is dropped.
Beretta Elite II models are available only in the G configuration (when the lever is released after having been activated to lower the hammer, it automatically returns to the ready-to-fire position).

Beretta 92 pistols are short-recoil operated, locked-breech weapons with an aluminium frame.
On some pistols, such as the Model 92G adopted in France, the levers do not lock themselves in the lowered position but return to the 'fire' position once released - their function is limited only to safe decocking of the hammer.
Beretta 92FS Centurion (1996) - version of the Model 92FS with a shortened barrel and slide, the frame is the same as on the Model 92FS.

 Beretta 92FS
Beretta is the oldest gun company in the world, with a history that can be traced back to 1526.
Beretta redesigned the gun with a slide-mounted safety, which when the lever is pressed downward, not only disengages the trigger but also decocks the hammer and trigger.
Beretta submitted the 92S, but although it did well, the USAF wanted a more traditional magazine release like that on the 1911A1, so Beretta redesigned the 92S into the (extremely rare) 92S-1, with a magazine release at thumb level.

 Italian Pistols - Beretta
Notes: The Beretta M-1915 was produced in quantity when the demands of World War 1 outstripped the ability of Italy to produce the Glisenti pistol Italians were using at the time.
It uses a short recoil system rather than the straight blowback system of Beretta’s smaller designs; this reduces recoil somewhat as well as making stoppages less common than they would be if a blowback system were used with the more powerful ammunition of the M-92.
The rear sight is adjustable, it has anatomical grips (before the war, Beretta would tailor the grips for the user), and has a muzzle counterweight for better balance.

Well, I finally found a 92G that was not the Elite, it is a Centurion Police Special.
I also wouldn't mind the Centurion since the Beretta is already plenty big so a little compactness would be great, once agan the 92G Centurion fits the bill.
One more thing I would change is the grip size, unfortunatly the grip is the same on the 92g and the 92fs but it is not that big of a problem since I think the 92fs grip is workable.
