I considered the Beretta to be the best choice in.40 SandW caliber weapons when I bought the gun, alas, it suffered from the same fault that every other.40 caliber pistol has that I have so far fired, a lack of acceptable accuracy.

Also, I find the Beretta safety counter intuitive because it is reversed to 1911 safeties...
As far as the slides go, it comes with a Brigadier slide, and that is the heavier one, and I don't believe there are many problems with it.
That said, if I only had one gun (and therefore planned on shooting tens of thousands of rounds through it over its life) and I wanted it to be a Beretta, I would get a 92.

I would lke to get all your expert opinions on what is a good caliber to carry, and a good gun to shoot it from.
I'm not a huge fan of the Glock because of the trigger pull (the Beretta's is much easier to master) but I think it can be concealed better and it's a point and shoot gun, so you won't have to second guess with safeties, etc.
It's true though, the Glock pistol is rock sold reliable, and the round gives you a bit of capacity to compensate for your beginning marksmanship skills.

 165g Hydroshoks instead of 230g? - 1911Forum
I was recently at a gunshow and went to replace my Hydroshoks I keep in my downstairs gun (a Kimber Custom Polymer.45).
In my excitement on finding a Beretta 96G-SD at a good price that I picked up, I failed to notice that I bought a substantial amount of 165g Hydroshoks instead of the 230g I usually keep in it.
Question is- am I selling myself short with the lighter loads?
