The Berlin Thunder is a franchise in NFL Europe, which is a springtime American football league serving primarily as a developmental league for the National Football League.
The Thunder came into existence as an expansion team, after the London/England Monarchs franchise shut down operations, prior to the 1999 season.
In 2006, the Thunder had three players earn All-NFL Europe honors: guard Chad Beasley and safety Anthony Floyd earned all-league honors at their respective positions and German DE Christian Mohr was honored as the national player on the defensive all-league team.

The Berliners started with a strong Quarterback from the Houston Texans, Quarterback Dave Ragone who ruled the league and was voted as the “NFLE offensive MVP of the year” before the Yello Strom World Bowl XIII Final.
Thunder did not only lose 13:17 but also their running back Murray due to a bad knee injury- exactly before the World Bowl in a game that was actually unimportant.
Despite the sad Final loss, Thunder did hold the offensive MVP with Ragone and the great linebacker Rich Scalon (Kansas City Chiefs) who was the defensive MVP of the NFL Europe season 2005, The Amsterdam Admirals’ coach Bart Andrus received the recognition of the coach of the year.

After Thunder went three and out Hall fumbled the ball on the return as he fought for yards on his own 29 yard line and f plays later they went in from 4 yards out.
A kick out of bounds gave Berlin the ball on their 40 and Quinn moved them with the help of sloppt tackling to the Claymores 7 from where he tossed the ball to Coutain who had turned Terry inside out.
Berlin had one more chance but a sack by Ward then another by Flickenger finished the game.
