  Encyclopedia: Bernard King
Bernard King (born December 4, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York), is a former professional basketball player, a forward in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets (1978-1979), Utah Jazz (1980), (Golden State Warriors), (1981-1982), New York Knicks (1983-1987), the Washington Bullets (1988-1992), and again in 1993.
Bernard King (born December 4, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York) is a former professional basketball player in the NBA, most notably for his time with the New York Knicks in the early 1980s.
However, since King did not commence play with the Nets until he was drafted into the NBA in 1977, and the team had relocated to another city and reinvented themselves as the present day New Jersey Nets just prior to his rookie season, the replica jersey is an anachronism.

Even King admits as much, noting that was probably the primary reason he was left off the first, second and third teams of the All-Big 12 squads last year despite finishing as the league’s third-highest scorer.
King and Oklahoma State’s Maurice Baker were the only Big 12 players to rank in the top 15 in the league in scoring, assists, steals and 3-point field goals.
But King, who led Coleman to a 46-3 record as a senior, enjoyed the underdog role and instantly fell in love with Melvin Watkins and what the new coach was attempting to do at Texas AandM.

Going far beyond the usual tales of romance and chivalry, The Winter King introduces us to an Arthur who is both utterly convincing and a true hero: a man of honor, loyalty, and amazing valor; a man who loves Guinevere more passionately than he should; a man whose life is at once tragic and triumphant.
Fans of Bernard Cornwell's beautiful prose and exciting, historically accurate descriptions of ancient military life will not be disappointed by his incredibly original take on the Arthurian legend.
The Arthur presented in the Warlord Trilogy is not the Christian king of England that you're used to, but a Celtic warlord in pagan Britain fighting back the marauding Saxons and dealing with treachery from warring British kingdoms.

There is however one major difference between the 2, namely that King Arthur was still barely believable eg if Arthur was a Roman why are there no records of him.
Cornwell's Arthur saga is a new touch to the old legends and lore about perhaps the most famous king of all times.
