 | | In 1780 he was appointed pastor of the church at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, which he served until 1790, when, on 11 April, he was consecrated bishop, and then resided at Litiz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, but had a seat in the governing board at Bethlehem. |
