  Beskidy Highlanders' Week of Culture
That is why all folk groups from the Beskidy region perform during TKB.
We invite to listen to - at least during FFGP - the oldest and mostly rooted in Polish tradition songs and music which, is reflected and transformed in the sound of contemporary folk-pop groups.
And finally we invite to taste the beauty of the surrounding Beskidy mountains where the highlanders' culture is being created.

The Sixth International Debate Workshop and Camp was held in Ustron, Poland, in the Beskidy mountains, from July 24 through August 3, 2000.
This year's debate camp took place in the south of Poland in a famous health resort-Ustron, in the midst of Beskidy mountains which is one of the most unique eco†systems in the country.
This was a perfect location for the debate camp whose resolution was : "We should limit economic development in order to protect the environment" Just like in the previous IDEA debate camps, the participants of the camp in Ustron created their own ecosystem, a microcosm in which each element contributed to the whole.

Like in Silesian Beskidy most of the people living there (except for foresters and hunters) are not aware of the wolves presence in the forest, even the pack crossing very close to buildings.

 Association for Nature WOLF: ONGOING PROJECTS OF PREDATOR CONSERVATION
This year we have focused on the Western Beskidy Mountains area: about 20 farmers were trained, and the several most affected by wolf attacks on livestock were equipped with fladry sets.
The aim of the study is to find the distribution and abundance of the lynx population in this area, their habitat preferences, diet and the main lynx/man conflicts.
Every year several students of zoology, ecology, and animal and wildlife management are trained in different methods of large and small carnivore (wolf, lynx, badger, marten) field research in the Western Beskidy Mountains.
