VARIOUS ARTISTS Best Prog Rock Album in the World... Ever reviews and MP3
Hard to rate this album because the music is very good, but the idea of making some kind of "The best of Prog'" is not right for me, so I'll give 2 stars.
album in the world ever” series of compilations, is a surprisingly listenable sampler, and ideal for keeping in the car for those long journeys (over three hours of progressive rock – enough to send the most tolerant child apoplectic in the back seat).
I think this album proves a point that most prog fans would say- it's frankly impossible to do an 'ultimate' prog album due to licensing problems and commercial pressures but also due to the epic, album orientated nature of the genre- so tracks can't be easily taken from their parent albums.

Best Glam Rock Album In The World Ever!:Review
This album is as close to the real deal as you're likely to get on a double CD compilation.
Coming from the second 1977 album that Iggy released with Bowie in the production chair (and writing much of the music, though not The Passenger), Lust For Life, it is surely stretching the definition of Glam to say that this is. But what the hey, it's a great track.
This was never a hit (in fact, the New York Dolls never scored a chart single or album in the UK), but revisionism has the New York Dolls as a central part of the UK Glam scene, based on their influence on UK Glam acts.

One quite remarkable thing is that, although the songs here were not all written by the band for the album, they all sound as though they were.
