Landau served as rabbi of the Whitestone Hebrew Center, Queens, New York, in the fifties; Beth Hillel Congregation of Wilmette, Illinois, 1960-1963; and the Park Synagogue in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, 1963-1965.
From 1948 until his death, Rabbi Ezekiel Landau served as rabbi of Congregation Beth Israel (American Congregation of Jews from Austria) in New York.
Landau's father Ezekiel Landau, some of whose papers are included in this collection, was ordained in 1914 by the Hildesheimer Seminary, and received a Phd from Carolingen University in 1917.
