Another well known migrant was, Carl Linger, who wrote the music for Song of Australia, which impressed Charles Cameron Kingston, the Premier of South Australia, so much that he asked public school teachers to teach it to all their students.
Sadly most of this was forgotten or ignored during the wars when Lutheran schools were closed, Germans lost their vote, German place names were eradicated from the maps and men interned for being of German background.
