		This history of Bethany Church and its sister congregation, First Church, which merged with Bethany in December, 1965, is printed in August of 1976 as a part of the "Summer Happening" of Bethany Church.
		The history of Bethany Church was researched and written by Miss Mary W. Reemsnyder and was originally printed in booklet form as a part of the celebration of the two hundred and twentieth anniversary of the congregation in 1955.
		Bethany has one of these bibles today in its historical exhibit located in the hallway next to the narthex.
