Bethany is a NCAA Division III recognized school and is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) as well as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

Published by the Bethany Beach Landowners' Association as a public service to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the Town of Bethany Beach, Delaware on July 12, 1901, and in conjunction with the American Revolution Bicentennial.
One of the first accomplishments of the rejuvenated Bethany Beach Improvement Company before the 1903 summer was to build the boardwalk along the ocean front with three roofed pavilions, and from this walk another to the auditorium in the Church Assembly Grounds.
The Assawoman Canal is the western boundary of Bethany Beach; while the northern line follows the Bethany Beach Canal form the Assawoman east almost to the dual highway, then to Fifth Street and east on the street to the beachfront.
