William O. Thomas, proprietor of the planing mill, at Macomb, was born in Urbana, Champaign county, Ohio, October 26, 1828, and is a son of Ross and Elizabeth (Gray) Thomas, the former of Welsh, and the latter of English origin.
McIntosh is a native of Bath county, Kentucky, was born March 10, 1830, his parents being Frederick and Rebecca (Helphenstine) McIntosh, the former of whom is a native of Pennsylvania, and the latter of Indiana.
According to the last annual report of the county superintendent, for the school year ending June 30, 1884, the city of Macomb has an estimated value of school property amounting to $44,000, and a tax levy for the support of her schools amounting to $12,000.

Windsor Township formed a part of Hellam, which was laid out by authority of the Provincial court at Lancaster in 1739.
Windsor remained a part of Hellam Township until 1753 when a petition was presented to the court at York, signed by John Wright, Jr.
Windsor Bethel was located about a mile north of Windsorville and was a part of the “Lower York Mission” of the Church of God.

Originally the area now comprising Lebanon County Pennsylvania was a part of the vast County of Chester, one of the three original Pennsylvania counties formed in 1682.
As the population grew the people desired closer proximity to their government and new counties were formed.
Most of the land was from Dauphin County, with some of the southern part from Lancaster County and a bit of the eastern portion from Berks County.

The county lies in the lower cen­tral portion of the North Temperate zone between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and is intersected by 76 degrees west longitude.
The new county was near the fringe of the white settlement and was often attacked, usually at night, by unfriendly Indians from above the Blue Mountains.
Fort Henry in Bethel Township and Fort Northkill, two miles east of Strausstown in Upper Tulpehocken Township, were both within the present limits of Berks.

No county remaining loyal to the Union was represented in a greater number of organizations than Lebanon County.
It was located on Furnace Creek in Lebanon County (a few miles south of the borough of Lebanon) and was built in 1742 by Peter Grubb whose descendants were also distinguished ironmasters.
Lebanon County was separated from Lancaster County in 1813, and Lebanon was made the County seat.

From this small beginning a church was organized and began the erection of a Bethel in the fall of 1878 and completed in the spring of 1878.
In 1851, this Church was admitted to the East Pennsylvania Eldership, which is affiliated with the incorporated body known as the "Churches of God in North America," with churches throughout the United States, East Pakistan and India.

Casper married Regina "Rachel" Gerhardt 21 May 1763 in Bethel Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
This Bethel Township seems to move around some, because later I see that it's in Berks County, PA. Regina Rachel was the daughter of John Conrad and Regina Gerhardt and was born 1746, either in Germany or Pennsylvania.
She died 31 Oct 1816 in Wytheville, VA. Casper and Regina are buried in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Wytheville.
