Bethersden School won the 2005 Tennis Tournament Day held at Ashford Girls School - a one day event involving around 100 children from local schools.

The Millen family from Bethersden will be launching their new CD at Tenterden Folk Festival.
The family's singing can be traced at least back to November 1907 when the Kentish Express reported that members of the Batt Family sang at the Bethersden Chrysanthemum Show.
The family had probably been singing for many years prior to that as part of local Catch Clubs the precursors of the choral unions.

Stephen Ridgeway, formerly assistant at Thornton Heath Evangelical Church and Ladyfield Evangelical Church, Chippenham, was inducted as pastor of Union Chapel, Bethersden, Kent, on 4 October.
Stephen is only the ninth minister to lead the church during the last 100 years.
