Jha, an Independent candidate from Bettiah, said that a large number of RJD workers raising party slogans attacked him after his meeting with the election officials in Motihari on Sunday.
The incident further proves his claim that the election in Bettiah was completely rigged by the ruling party where even the district administration acted as Laloo Prasad Yadav’s agents, Jha told the reporters.

Nath was ordered to report as the new SP of Aurangabad swapping places with M. Nayak after the court threatened to imprison him for six months if the court ordered was violated.
The SP who is said to have a long history of defying proper code of conduct as a law enforcement official, refused to pay any attention to the pleas of a Bettiah doctor who claimed he was being threatened by a criminal in jail for extortion.

Bishop Victor Henry Thakur of Bettiah has visited the convent and the injured nun in the hospital, the priest said.

For many years past before her death, the estate was under the management of the Court of Wards and continued under such management even after her death as it was not known whether she had left any heirs.

 PD News - FIRs Lodged Against Politicians in Bettiah
Administration in Bettiah, on Monday, lodged First Information Reports (FIRs) against more than half-a-dozen leaders for disregarding model code of conduct despite strict warnings against putting election posters and signs on government buildings, officials said.
Talking to reporters, Bettiah SDO and co-election officer Vimla Prasad said these leaders were apprised of the strict orders issued by the Election Commission (EC) to remove such posters within 24 hours of the notification; yet the leaders failed to do so.
The officials burnt midnight candles on Sunday cleaning up the district removing posters and whitewashing public walls that were mercilessly smeared by politicians with no regard for rules or having any aesthetic sense.
