Its population as of the 2003 census was 4860, with the town proper accounting for about half of that; the frazioni of Bevagna are Cantalupo, Castelbuono, Gaglioli, Limigiano, Torre del Colle.

Inside the village are many fantastic restaurants to try, old roman baths with detailed mosaics, winding stone streets, and a spot on the river where the village women go to wash their clothes on the rocks.
Bevagna is perfect for visiting central Umbria, being only 10 minutes to Foligno (and the train to Rome 1:15 minutes) Spoleto, Assisi, and Perugia are only short rides away.
