	Bevel Lemelisk - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Bevel Lemelisk is a character in the Star Wars Expanded Universe who is credited in several sources with being the inventor and primary designer of the Death Star.
		Lemelisk's role in the Death Star construction is apparently contradicted, however, in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones when the Death Star is shown to have been created by the Geonosians.
		At the end of Darksaber, Lemelisk escapes the doomed superweapon in his inspection space vehicle, and is captured by the commander of the New Republic fleet, Wedge Antilles, who told him that he will almost certainly be sentenced to death by the New Republic for his actions.

		One of the primary designers of the Death Star was an engineer named Bevel Lemelisk.
		Lemelisk worked with the Geonosians to convert Sienar's Expeditionary Battle Planetoid into a superlaser-armed battlestation, and later designed more Imperial superweapons in the Maw Installation before overseeing the Death Star's construction at the planet Despayre.
		Durga the Hutt also built a small version with only the central laser core and a small living quarters, which was destroyed in the asteroid field around Hoth.

		Several Star Wars expanded universe publications indicate that the primary designer of the Death Star was an engineer named Bevel Lemelisk.
		However, as Lemelisk's contribution is not mentioned to any degree in Star Wars: Episode II, it may be assumed his role was either not that significant, or that his character does not exist in the "official" on-screen Star Wars universe.
		Bevel Lemelisk would therefore by much the same kind of character as another prominent expanded universe figure: Grand Admiral Thrawn.

		FRom We know It is clearly stated in many books and Starwars.com and other sources that Bevel Lemelisk was behind the Death Star's designing and creation.
		Lemelisk was in charge of this project, and was CHeif Engineer on the construction site.
		Possabilty, the Death Star plans where incomplete, Tarkin and Bevel made them actually work, the Emps had the Plans but the Tarkin doctrine gave him the the a justification for it's construction and more importantly a true role for a planet busting weapon.

		After a quick interrogation of Bevel Lemelisk, i learned the name of the one who bought the hyper drive disrupter off him....a pirate called Ryan Margera....apparently operates off tatooine.
		Afterwords i knocked bevel out and made my escape from cloud city.
		All in all the mission there went off without a hitch....now i am on my way to Tatooine to track this margera down and find out why he wants me dead...and who he is working for.....before i terminate his existence that is.

	Bevel Lemelisk and the Death Star
		But the problem I have with all that is Bevel Lemelisk role in all that.
		Prior to AOTC, Bevel Lemelisk was assuming to be the chief engineer of his developpement, along with Qwi Xux, and also the brain behind all of the plans.
		1- Bevel was indeed the chief designer of the plan, working for the Separatist (or selling the plans to them) and was cloned by the Emperor to continue his research.

	Myths
		If Bevel was the better supergenius, it begs the question why HE was taken with Tarkin and not left behind to do Xux's work.
		Lemelisk was credited with inventing the the Death Star, but according to the Jedi Academy Trilogy he just used the blueprints created by Qwi Xux, an alien supergenius acquired by Tarkin in the Outland Regions.
		Qwi Xux, who was one of Bevel Lemelisk's subordinates (and apparently endowed with an overblown sense of her own importance, since she claims that the hundreds of thousands of staffers at the Maw facility would have accomplished nothing without her), spent her time designing portions of the Death Star.
