This award is the second major award for Beveridge as he was also named 2003 NSW Coach of the Year at the recent Basketball NSW Annual Awards.
Beveridge who is the current NSW Institute of Sport Head Basketball Coach was the Head coach of the 2003 Australian Junior Mens team "The Emus" who won the Gold medal at the U/20 Junior World Championships beating Lithuania in the final.
Beveridge dedicated his award to his coaching and support staff who worked tirelessly alongside himself during the preparation and tournament.

Jumpin' Jaks was awarded the Bar, Entertainment and Dance Association (BEDA) awards for Bar of the Year in the Midlands and the UK bar of the year award.
The awards ceremony, which was held at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel, saw three bars, including Jaks, up for the Midlands award and 15 venues shortlisted for the national accolade after being whittled down from every bar in the country.
We were absolutely thrilled to be given the award for Bar of the Year in the Midlands, but to receive the national award was the icing on the cake.

MARY A. The Beveridge Award is given annually for the best book in English on the history of the United States, Latin America, or Canada from 1492 to the present.
The award was established on a biennial basis in 1939 and has been awarded annually since 1945.
Beveridge wrote to the AHA of her desire for “a separate fund bearing my husband’s name and devoted to research in American history.” The fund was augmented by donations from friends of Senator Beveridge and the scope of the award was enlarged to encompass Latin America and Canada as well as the United States.

THE ALBERT J. To promote and honor outstanding historical writing, the American Historical Association offers each year the ALBERT J. The award is given for a distinguished book in English on the history of the United States, Latin America, or Canada, from 1492 to the present.
Books that employ new methodological or conceptual tools or that constitute significant reexaminations of important interpretive problems will be given preference.
Books published after May 1, 2006, and before April 30, 2007, are eligible for the 2007 award.

The Domesticity of Giraffes (Black Lighting Press 1987) won the Dame Mary Gilmore Award, the NSW Premier’s Award and the Victorian Premier’s Award in 1988 — a remarkable achievement for a first time published writer.
Her poetry was set on NSW HSC curriculum 1993-1995 and Judith taught poetry writing at the University of Technology, Sydney, as well as at adult colleges.
