		In between Sally Fields deadly case of the cutes, Maldens gas pains, and stiff acting from the others, Irwin Allen really tried to make a good movie, but should have left the directing to someone less "action oriented".The movie was released May 18th, 1979, and had a less than impressive box office return.
		Most Poseidon fans feel the best thing about the movie is the poster art by Mort Kunstler.

		This makes you feel as if you're on a different ship from the fist film which is a bit of a let down.

		I believe it was the old Encore Channel that finally delivered Beyond the Poseidon Adventure unto my salivating eyeballs.
		When Beyond the Poseidon Adventure came out, I just thought that it was the stupidest movie ever.
		If you follow the book nobody could just sneak in since the ship was cordoned off and if you follow the movie it was idiotic for the ship to be left alone and pirates to sneak in just like that.
