BiNet USA has also created and delivered dozens of workshops on bisexuality at the national conferences of others organizations, such as the National Gay and Lesbian Creating Change Conference and the Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) Conference.
Three BiNet USA national coordinators met with a liaison to the White House in November 1996 to educate the administration on issues specific to bisexual and transgendered people.
BiNet USA also lobbied on Capitol Hill in February 1997 to promote the passage of ENDA.

BiNet sponsored our two youth coordinators, Stevi and Andrea to attend the workshops with me. The conference was very inclusive in it’s language for bi’s but seemed to deliberately avoid the "T" word.
Nominations for the BiNet USA Southwest Regional Organizer are now being accepted.
The primary role of the RO is of course to organize, nurture and establish a BiNet USA presence in the region which consists of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Nevada.

 Transcending Boundaries Conference - About
Transcending Boundaries grew out of a project of BiNet USA, one of two national bisexual organizations.
Those in attendance at the 2000 tri-state conference voted to continue the conference independently from BiNet USA and to hold the next year's conference in New Haven, Connecticut.
The organizing committee for the 2001 conference decided to expand the scope of the conference in two ways: to expand the geographical reach of the conference to include the entire Northeast, and to include transgender and intersex issues as well as bisexual issues in the conference theme.

The service was founded in 1988 as a complement to the Bi's At the Center discussion/social group at the gay/lesbian center in Long Beach, California.
Eventually it became a separate service and is no longer directly affiliated with the Long Beach Center or the bi rap that meets there (andwhich is now sponsored by BiNet L.A.), although it does still serve as a message line for the rap group.

[Morgan,] if the truth be known, BiNet USA has been having a lot of trouble with inclusion on the HRC front and I was disturbed by the lack of mention to trans and bi issues in your article.
In a recent 'supportive' letter on trans issues, HRC called an f to m trans person a man. In the whole discussion on the millennium march, HRC has not been cooperative, nor have they been in contact with many of the people they claimed were supporting their march.
Even though HRC has signed on to be an ally to BiNet USA, they did not sign on to our rebuttle ad for the gay 'conversion' ads the religious right has been running.

BiNet USA does not support any system where one group or person has advantages or opportunities that any other group or person is restricted from participating in.
In our current society where opposite gender people are allowed to marry if they wish to do so, BiNet USA supports the rights of same gender partners to marry under the same criteria.

Two HRC staff, two GenderPAC members and a BiNet member visited the offices of 6 Congressmembers to provide basic education and to lay the groundwork for future communications.
A central topic of discussion was ENDA, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which was defeated in the Senate by a single vote on September 10.
BiNet will join GenderPAC for their Second National Gender Lobby Day on May 5.

At the forefront of early sex-positive HIV / AIDS awareness and education programs, bi men and women were a driving force in what was to become the San Francisco Model.

This piece was used in that press kit in a shorter form.
As Rust says in her chapter of a forthcoming anthology for counselors of bi clients, bisexuals are often the pioneers in new forms of relationships and deserve support for that courage, not condemnation.
