		As result of initiative raised in 1949 by Bialystok Main Technical Organisation, private Evening Engineering School was established, which subsequently was nationalised in 1951.
		Concurrently with conversion of WSI college into Bialystok Technical University in 1974 there was a particularly dynamic development of the library, mainly in increase of staff number, size of collections as well as in number of users.
		The University was granted rights to promote Master of Science (Magister) graduates, establishment of new studying fields together with increased number students as well as scientific and technical staff, posed new tasks for the library which had to be accomplished.

	Perspectives on the Professions
		At my university, in the eastern region of Poland, two religions, Catholicism and the Orthodox rite, are dominant.
		The problem of the sociological analysis of scientific activity with its ethical implications was attacked by another Polish philosopher (and sociologist) Florian Znaniecki (1882-1958).
		Znaniecki emphasizes that a wise person understands that his own tasks are only a part of human tasks as a whole, and that his tasks can be fulfilled only if others fulfill their concurrent tasks; everyone's activities can be significant and fertile only in connection with the activities of others.

	PJWSTK - Research
		The scientific staff of the Chair participates into the seminars organised by PJIIT Institute of Computers Sciences and the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

	AES Barcelona 2005: Poster Session Z1
		The proposed method currently utilizes the most advanced ideas in signal subspace speech enhancement and is optimal in the general case of colored-noise process.
		This technique was tested subjectively and was found to provide better performance than previously reported papers, even with a packet loss rate of 30%.
		The method will be described, its implementation on a TMS320C6711 DSP platform for real time operation will be explained, and results for the adaptive cancellation of two simultaneous acoustic feedbacks will be presented.
