The Castafiore Emerald - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Castafiore Emerald (Les Bijoux de la Castafiore) is one of a series of classic comic-strip albums, written and illustrated by Belgian writer and illustrator Hergé, featuring young reporter Tintin as a hero.
Shortly afterwards, Bianca Castafiore, famous opera Diva and scourge of the Captain decides to invite herself to Marlinspike for a holiday.
Upon hearing of Bianca's impending visit, Haddock rushes to pack for a trip to Italy, figuring that now would be a good time to visit that country, which he had always avoided precisely to avoid Bianca.

Brightsurf: The Castafiore Emerald (The Adventures of Tintin) by Herge
THE CASTAFIORE EMERALD may in many ways be Herg's masterpiece, and it is unquestionably the funniest of all his tales, revolving as it does on the theme of miscommunication ("No, this is not Cutts the butcher!").
Naturally at the very heart of it is the Milanese Nightingale herself, Bianca Castafiore, the world's greatest opera star, who deigns to descend upon the only two people in the world who cannot bear to hear her sing, Tintin and Captain Hamhock (er, Haddock).
Castafiore and her entourage cause the Captain no end of irritation, but the real adventure comes when her prize jewelry goes missing and it is up to Tintin to unravel the mystery.
