I thought BibleTime was kept up to date with KDE by the BibleTime team since it is a KDE program.

Seems Bibletime insists on kdelibs4 and libqt3c102-mt but they 'aint gonna work' without blowing the whole system and instructions on upgrading (so far) to the point it WILL install look like they were written by the same cretins who wrote the man files.
I've been so frustrated trying to install Bibletime on 3.4.3 that I'm going to need a year's supply of Rogaine in addition to a heaping helping of 'divine forgiveness'.
You will find your bibletime there also a lot of nice and usefull soft in special for science development and utils.

 Gnomesword vs. Bibletime...thoughts?? - Ubuntu Forums
I added BibleTime to the Ubuntu CE Installer so those who would rather have it or just want to try it can easily find and install it.
Gnome programs are usually simpler and easier to use, but I found GnomeSword an exception to the rule (very confusing!), especially when it came to having parallel views.
Bibletime didn't work well for me back in Breezy, so I just stuck to GnomeSword and learned it.

Personally I think Bibletime is a marvelleous work, and would be nice in KDE just to demonstrate the versatility of KDE.

The one used with KDE is called BibleTime and the one used with GNOME is called GnomeSword.
Select BibleTime and click “Accept.” It will probably tell you that you have to also install Sword, which is the engine that runs BibleTime.
We recommend setting both Status and Refresh to “On.” This is because the Packman repository gets a great deal of activity, and it is a good idea to refresh it each time you use it.
