Biddinghuizen is a village in the municipality of Dronten, Flevoland province.
That was not quite true, as the flag as a whole was very different from the Marknesser flag - however the arms were quite alike - no wonder: it had been designed by someone who sold those arms to quite a few Flevoland villages.
It was agreed that the Marknesse arms were older, and that Biddinghuizen would look for something else for its flag.
The number of villages was reduced due to increased traffic and experiences gained in developing the Noordoostpolder, where a similar municipality had already been built.
Eventually it was decided there were to be two smaller villages (Biddinghuizen and Swifterbant) and one larger town (Dronten).
On the 1st of January 1972 Dronten was given its official name

There are only very few bands that dare to do this and that can do this succesfully and these are the bands that continue to be interesting for a long period of time.

A Campingflight To Lowlands Paradise 2001, Biddinghuizen (NL)
Lowlands kicked off on Thursday the 23rd of August; around six pm the gates opened for an anxious (and large) crowd looking forward to spending the next few days on the grassy grounds in Biddinghuizen.
An estimated 6,000 people were already waiting to be the first ones to enter the campsite.
South of Dronten, near the village of Biddinghuizen, is the Flevohof (Spijkweg 30), a combination of an agricultural exhibition and a recreation center, with periodical exhibitions on all aspects of farming life, model farmhouses, farmsteads and houses for growing early fruit and vegetables, an auction hall and a collection of 5,500 cacti and succulents.
