		Big Eggo will always hold a special place in Beano lore as the comic's original cover star.
		Big Eggo has recently made a suprise guest appearance, in a strip entitled "Lord Snooty's Day Out" and drawn by Ken H Harrison (issue 3093 - October 27th 2001).
		Eggo is revealed to be living in the Beano Retirement Home, along with Jonah, Lord Snooty and Jack Flash.

	Beano Comic Character Profiles
		Big Eggo was one of the Beano's First Characters, he appeared on the cover of Beano Isse One way back in July 1938 debuting with the words 'Somebody's taken my egg again!'.
		Big Eggo was drawn by artist Reg Carter and remained the cover story of the beano for Ten Years before being replaced by Biffo the Bear.

		The Beano's original cover star was Big Eggo, a bug-eyed ostrich who made his living as a zookeeper, but secretly aspires to be a hen, stealing eggs every now and again so he can sit atop them and perfect his hen-like illusion.
		Apparently, the pretending helps, as later in the series, Big Eggo is seen actually laying eggs, which are subsequently stolen by snakes, monkeys, crocodiles and the like.
